Wow, look out Amazon! Although, it looks like Google's offering requires Python where Amazon's is fairly agnostic.

IceNineJon, you're right about Google's services having a disadvantage by requiring Python, a programming language a lot of people don't like. This could end up hurting Google and helping Amazon.

Google's services currently support only Python but, that is without question certain to change in the near future. Remember, this is a alpha release. Google is releasing these services early to get feedback from the community and let that feedback drive the project. Google engineers aren't sealing themselves themselves in a cave and unmasking a huge surprise in 2 years. Tom Stocky, the product manager, wants to work with the community to build a product people are asking for and not tell the community what to use. Very smart. Make Sense?

Python is a deal breaker for me. But as tech Vision eluded to, if enough people moan about the python issue it will be changed. I like the fact that you can "Easily integrate with other Google services" and have access to the APIs. At the end of the day I think the "Ala carte" method that Amazon is currently using is more appealing.
