Gates, the most powerful man at MSFT, and one of the richest man in the world couldn't do anything about it or was to lazy to get the job done. That's what is so different about Gates compared to Jobs. Jobs takes his company personally and doesn't allow for the excuse "we did the best we could given yada yada." Even worse, Gate appoints his unqualified friend Steve Ballmer making matter even worse.
