  "From a security POV, allowing or even encouraging employees to provide their own hardware seems like a really bad idea. How can a company possibly ensure the security of any of those devices let alone their network when those devices access it? Furthermore, when an employee leaves, how can the company be sure they no longer have any sensitive data on their laptop/cell phone/PDA/whatever? Better to provide the tools the employee needs and be in control of it."
